Having grown up in a European family in the German city of Cologne, she studied French and Italian at the Department of Applied Linguistics at the Johannes-Gutenberg - University of Mainz, with a specialisation in economics and law.

As a qualified translator, she moved to Florence, Italy,  in 1981, where she pursued her profession for more than twenty years on behalf of numerous Tuscan companies and institutions. As a language and cultural mediator, she prepared expats for their work abroad for many years.

Since 2007 she has been working as a coach with individuals and teams, private persons and companies. Due to her multicultural experience and her linguistic background, she works primarily in international environments. As a trainer and consultant, she is knowledgeable and passionate about the topics of diversity and inclusion, and especially about intercultural competence, which she believes should be taught and trained always and everywhere, in schools and in the workplace.

For her, Management Constellations are a very flexible and versatile method to support coaching very efficiently. Brigitte is a PCC - Professional Certified Coach (International Coach Federation).
